Dark Autumn is a Neutral Season, meaning that its colours (and those of the members of this colouring group) are a combination of the True Autumn palette with a smaller contribution from Winter.
Colours are neutral to warm, strong but still muted by the Autumn touch, and range from warm, pinkish candlelight white to bronzed black.
For all of us, makeup looks most natural and healthy when we wear our flesh tones. For Dark Autumn, these span within a gradient of amber reds to spiced chili peppers for blush and lip colours.
Grays and browns (for neutral eyeshadow, eyeshadow highlight, and eyeliner) include buff, parchment, rich camel, burnt toffee, and espresso.
Together, these colours create the ideal composition of a rich and exciting backdrop and fiery accent colours.
The most attractive reflectivity in cosmetics ranges from matte to metallic. The nature of the colours tolerate extremes fairly well, with Autumn's influence making a drier mineral or metallic effect most flattering and Winter inviting the depth of warm jewel tones (think of garnet).
